No discussion of wellness is complete without some discussion of diet, exercise and stress. Diet, sedentary lifestyles, and stress have been linked in some way to most diseases. Improved diet, exercise, and stress management seems to help in the treatment of most health problems and should probably be considered as part of the overall treatment of most problems. In dentistry this probably applies most in TMJ problems and sleep disorders. It is also a contributing factor in periodontal diseases and of course tooth decay is almost entirely the result of poor diet as well as poor personal hygiene.
